The addition of molybdenum in the composition makes the material stronger and more corrosion resistant. The ASTM A312 Grade Tp316 is an austenitic stainless steel. The ASTM A312 Gr Tp316 produced by Oshwin Overseas are seamless and accurate. We produce all kinds of pipes in this material grade. Our A312 Tp316 Pipe can be gained in round, rectangular, square or even in hexagonal shapes. We manufacture the seamless A312 Tp316 Smls products for use in high accuracy systems.
The A312 Tp 316 Material has less absolute roughness and high toughness throughout various temperature ranges. The A312 Tp 316 Equivalent products are also manufactured by us. But the 316 Stainless Steel Pipe can perform under cryogenic temperatures as well. There are different pressure classes and schedules. The Stainless Steel 316 Schedule 40 Pipe is a medium level pressure containment schedule and it is one of the most used because of the wall thickness and diameter optimization. The Stainless Steel 316 Seamless Pipe can also be welded with ease. The use of filler materials is also common. The high heat 316 Exhaust Pipe is made up of SS 316 Erw Pipe which is electric resistant welded. Our SS 316 Square Pipe is used in applications where a lot of bending is done without compromising the strength.
ASTM A312 pipe covers following manufacturing types (Including hot finished or cold finished):
a. Seamless Pipe (SMLS): It covers stainless steel seamless pipe that manufactured in any process that can not be involved in the welding process.
b. Welded Pipe (WLD): It covers welded pipe that manufactured by an automatic welding process that does not add filler metal during welding.
c. Cold Worked Pipe (HCW pipe): The heavy cold-worked pipe that apply cold working of not less than 35% reduction in thickness of both wall, and welded to the welded pipe prior to final annealing. Do not use fillers during welding.
d. Welded and HCW pipe: Welded pipe and HCW pipe of 14 and smaller than NPS 14 shall have a single longitudinal weld. After approval by the purchaser, the welded pipe and HCW pipe with an NPS greater than NPS 14 shall have a single longitudinal weld or shall be manufactured by forming and welding two longitudinal sections of flat stock. So each welds are to be tested, inspected, inspected or treated.
ASTM A312 pipe shall be free from oxide scale and contaminated iron filings. If the steel pipe is brightly annealed, and pickling, blasting or surface finishing may not be mandatory. The purchaser can request that the finished pipe shall do passivating treatment.
