ASTM A312 Tp321h is a high carbon version of the titanium stabilized austenitic stainless steel. It has 18% chromium and 8% nickel in the common composition and therefore is called as the 18/8 steel as well. Oshwin Overseas is a manufacturer and supplier of the ASTM A312 Gr.Tp321h pipe types in all kinds, scales and dimensions. There are different production methods such as electric fusion welding, electric resistant welding, cold drawing or hot rolling of the ASTM A312 Tp 321h pipes. The titanium addition in the SA312 Tp321h material composition makes it stronger and more corrosion resistant. It also provides the material last longing life under even corrosive environments. The higher carbon content makes it tougher, but it can compromise the strength compared to the low carbon versions. Due to the increased toughness, it can perform well under cryogenic temperatures as well.

Stainless Steel is often Referred to as Corrosion-Resistant Steel - it does not stain, Corrode or Rust as easily as Normal Carbon Steel. It would however be misleading to say it is Corrosion-Proof. It differs significantly from standard Carbon Steel due to the amount of Chromium present, which limits surface Corrosion unlike Carbon Steel which will Rust when exposed to air and any moisture in the Atmosphere. Due to its Anti-Oxidation Qualities, Stainless Steel is often a Popular Solution.

Where low maintenance and corrosion resistance is required, stainless steel plates are a natural choice and are used in a diverse range of applications from modern Architecture for cladding or fascia's, to the food hygiene industry due to its Anti-Bacterial Qualities. 

Stainless Steel Seamless (SMLS) pipe is formed by drawing a solid billet over a piercing rod to create the hollow shell. As the manufacturing process does not include any welding, Seamless Pipes are perceived to be stronger and more reliable. Historically, seamless pipe was regarded as withstanding pressure better than other types, and was often more available than Welded Pipe.

Grades 321 and 347 are the basic austenitic 18/8 steel (Grade 304) stabilised by Titanium (321) or Niobium (347) additions. These grades are used because they are not sensitive to intergranular corrosion after heating within the carbide precipitation range of 425-850°C. Grade 321 is the grade of choice for applications in the temperature range of up to about 900°C, combining high strength, resistance to scaling and phase stability with resistance to subsequent aqueous corrosion.

Grade 321H is a modification of 321 with a higher carbon content, to provide improved high temperature strength.

A limitation with 321 is that titanium does not transfer well across a high temperature arc, so is not recommended as a welding consumable. In this case grade 347 is preferred - the niobium performs the same carbide stabilisation task but can be transferred across a welding arc. Grade 347 is therefore the standard consumable for welding 321. Grade 347 is only occasionally used as parent plate material.

Like other austenitic grades, 321 and 347 have excellent forming and welding characteristics, are readily brake or roll formed and have outstanding welding characteristics. Post-weld annealing is not required. They also have excellent toughness, even down to cryogenic temperatures. Grade 321 does not polish well, so is not recommended for decorative applications.

Production process

1. Materials: Take the raw materials out of the raw material warehouse or procurement channels, and conduct inspection and sorting;
2.temperature control: according to the required performance of the product, choose the appropriate temperature, and control it within a certain range;
3. Heating: Use hot blast stove or other heating methods to heat raw materials to the required temperature;
4.annealing: the heated raw materials into the torch box for annealing treatment, in order to improve the mechanical properties of raw materials;
5. Hot rolling: Put the heated raw materials into the hot rolling mill, and process the raw materials through pressure to obtain the required products;
6.cooling: hot rolled products with water or other coolant for cooling, to ensure the stability of the product structure;
7.detection: physical and chemical performance test to determine whether it meets the requirements;
8. Finishing: Organize the products, label them, and prepare them for loading and delivery.
